Linked-In’s “Top 1%” Campaign

LinkedIn sent out a mass email campaign anointing many as either “Top 1%”, “Top 5%” and perhaps “Top 10%” of all LinkedIn viewed profiles. I figured whomever received one of these probably looked at their own profile all day and perhaps this social media “abuse” goes unfiltered.

And then I saw one of these in my inbox. I did find this clip from ExactTarget that lends some insights regarding my new found alleged greatness. I’m sure Facebook, Twitter and others will indeed follow suit with their own mass marketing emails accusing us of social prowess.

Not a bad achievement for someone who didn’t make it to his high school prom (read: heavy sarcasm).
